Schools and other educational settings continue to come under increasing pressure to raise standards. More and more is being done to define and redefine the curriculum offer. Educational settings are reaching a point where most strategies have been tried once before and yet the same groups continue to under achieve.
Eduscope supports education professionals in schools and settings, voluntary groups, parents and carers in finding alternative ways to engage children in learning activity. Our training and development work is based around a set of core principles. We believe that the key to raising attainment and improving life chances for young people can be achieved through:
- parental engagement
- a focus on whole child development
- developing self reflective and responsive settings
- empowering learners
- developing wider learning opportunities
As part of our provision we also offer the SPACE Membership Scheme , a developmental programme for schools and settings who wish to take a whole-child approach to improvement planning. We offer training programmes and individual consultancy, both for members of the scheme and also for those who are not yet ready to take this step.
We also offer support directly to families who want to get more out of the education system and play an active part in their child's development.
